Beta Testing 101

Welcome to the Darkspore Beta!
We get it. You like to game. So do we. You want to play some Darkspore. We want you to play it too! And there are a few other things that we’d love you to keep in mind while you participate in the Darkspore Beta tests.
Enjoy yourself! Beta testing isn’t a job. Don’t feel like you need to keep your notebook handy (unless you want to. We’re tracking a lot of things through telemetry (data collection about pacing, positioning, levels reached, heroes used, # of deaths, etc.). That means that you can focus on having a good time and really kicking the tires.
Play the Game
Well duh. That’s why we’re all here, right? Yep. But it bears mentioning here. It’s fine if you want to do “destructive testing” and see what happens if you open and close the Helix window as fast as you can for five minutes straight. But we get a lot of valuable data by observing what happens to the gameplay and our server infrastructure under normal behavior.
Submit Bugs & Feedback
We know you are an over-achiever. That’s why you’re here to play Darkspore! And we know you want to help make it even better. So we’ve provided an in-game bug/feedback reporting tool so that you don’t even have to leave the game to tell us what’s on your mind. Just click the little circle in the upper right corner with the bug in it.
Darkspore is fun solo. Darkspore positively rocks with friends. Chat with people in the lobby. Open the Lobby UI and add them to your Friends List. And join the conversation us on the forums at http://forums.darkspore.com/
See you online!
